As the founder of The Worley HR Consulting Group, Bob Worley is committed to partnering with clients to build successful executive recruitment and variable workforce management practices. 

Bob created and developed one of the nation’s leading in-house retained executive search groups and variable workforce groups.  Prior to founding his consulting practice, Bob was a Senior Vice President in the Human Resources Group at Wachovia Corporation. 

While at Wachovia, Bob…

  • Served as Corporate and Divisional Human Resources Director for 18 years.

  • Received the top HR Leadership award
  • Played a critical lead role in the reengineering of Human Resources.

  • Founded the Specialty Recruiting Group, where he was the chief architect in creating Wachovia's highly successful executive search group.

  • Created the variable workforce management concept that provides temporary staffing and contract professionals to meet the day-to-day workforce needs throughout the company.

  • Attracted great talent to the company

  • Saved the Corporation’s shareholders over $20 million annually.

Education:

  • BS in Business Administration from Virginia Tech

  • MBA from the University of North Florida

  • Graduate School of Banking at the University of Wisconsin

  • US Army Command and General Staff College

Civic and Professional Involvement:

  • Member of the Society for Human Resource Management since 1972

  • Former Treasurer and Director for the International Association for Corporate and Professional Recruitment

  • Previously served on the Advisory Board at The Center for Human Resources Development at Florida State University

  • Chaired the Advisory Board for the College of Business at Winthrop University

  • Long history of civic leadership, serving on community boards, including a local wellness council, the Chamber of Commerce and Arts Council, the symphony board, and a state industry-education coalition
